Writing the Minutes 1765

“Writing the Minutes 1765” is set in the Lodge Secretary's study. His attempts to write the minutes of the previous evening's Initiation ceremony are continually interrupted by the Master and his Warden, who have invited themselves in order to assist -and to enjoy his wine. It is a costumed presentation with interactive on-screen interpolations, including sequences from The Ancient Ceremony and demonstrations by the WM. There are three performers, with another to operate the screen and sound effects.

Lasting under fifty minutes from start to finish this is an ideal “taster” for The Ancient Ceremony and provides valuable insights into the way a Lodge Meeting might have operated in the eighteenth century. (This production is not suitable for viewing by non Masons.)
